The Fairchick Grant

A gift of continuing education through the IAFE Education Foundation scholarship and or grant provides a tangible commitment to the future of the fair and expositions industry. Through donors' generosity, the IAFE Education Foundation annually disperses over $17,000 in scholarships and grants. Each recipient must be a member of the IAFE and meet the scholarship requirements. Scholarships are added when available. The deadline is August 31, 2024

The Fairchick grant has been established and made possible by the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs and friends of the Foundation to honor Marla Calico, CFE – IAFE President and CEO. This grant was developed to receive and award funds in Marla’s honor. As Marla Calico’s retirement date draws near, in what can undoubtedly be called a remarkable career that has impacted fairs of all sizes, we are marking the end of an era. Marla’s retirement is not just a reflection of a successful career but an opportunity to celebrate the legacy of an individual whose tireless efforts have left an indelible mark on the industry. During Marla’s tenure at the IAFE, she traveled extensively and adopted the nickname “Fairchick.” That is how the Fairchick Grant came to be.
