Darwin Fuchs Memorial
Scholarship
Guidelines and Procedures

The Darwin Fuchs Memorial Scholarship will grant one (1) $500 scholarship.
 

Below are the Darwin Fuchs Memorial Scholarship rules and guidelines:
 

1. Applicant must be currently enrolled in the Institute of Fair Management or Institute of Fair Management Graduate Track Certification Program.
 

2. Submit no later than 5 pm CDT on August 31.
 

3. The scholarship can be used for payment of IAFE registration fees and travel expenses associated with
Institute courses offered at any of these events:
a. CyberSeminars
b. Institute Summit
c. IAFE Annual Convention
d. IAFE Zone meetings

 

4. The scholarship amount will be disbursed as reimbursement for fees as noted above upon presentation of the request for same. Receipts to support the reimbursement must be provided to the IAFE when reimbursement is requested.
 

5. If the scholarship amount is not reimbursed within the calendar year following the award, which begins with the 2024 IAFE Annual Convention, the balance remaining may be carried forward for one additional calendar year. If not used by that time, the remaining scholarship balance will be returned to the general use fund of the IAFE Education Foundation. Disbursements are not made for fees before the 2024 IAFE Annual Convention.
 

6. Scholarship is non-transferable
 

7. A committee will evaluate scholarship applicants, and awards will be made based on the following criteria:
a. 65% of the score is based upon the applicant's financial needs.

b. 35% of the score is based on the essay section of the application. This section will be evaluated in a "blind" judging
process (no names visible to the committee).
